How to Measure Your Track
A rubber track is defined by three measurements: Width x Pitch x Number of Links. Most tracks have the size molded on the inside. If yours is worn off, measure it like this:
- Width (W)Measure the track from outer edge to outer edge across the full width, in the middle of the track rather than at the lugs. Record in millimetres. Example: 450 mm.
- Pitch (P)The distance from the centre of one guide lug (link hole) to the centre of the next. Measure across 10 links and divide by 10 for accuracy. Example: 86 mm.
- Links (L)Count the guide lugs all the way around the inside of the track. Each segment between drive holes counts as one link. Example: 60 links.
- Write it as width x pitch x linksFor example 450x86x60. Letters after the pitch (like B or N) mark the guide style; include them if you see them.
Can't find the size on your old track?
Worn tracks may have illegible markings. The measurement method above will always give you the right replacement size. If you're still unsure, contact us with your machine's make, model, and year.
