What sizes of rubber tracks do you carry?
We carry a wide range of rubber tracks from 180mm to 800mm width, compatible with mini excavators, compact track loaders, and full-size excavators. Our in-stock inventory page shows all currently available sizes. Custom sizes and factory orders are also available with a 60–90 day lead time.
Yes — we stock tracks for Caterpillar, Kubota, Bobcat, Takeuchi, Yanmar, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, Doosan, and many more. Use the search on our Inventory page by make and model, or contact us with your machine’s make, model, and current track size.
Both ITR and MTW are factory-direct brands we carry. ITR (International Track and Roller) is a well-established aftermarket brand with OEM-matching specifications. MTW tracks are a premium value brand manufactured to the same quality standards. Both carry a 12-month warranty.
Lifespan depends heavily on operating conditions. On soft terrain (mud, sand, turf), tracks typically last 1,500–2,500 hours. On abrasive surfaces like concrete, asphalt, or gravel, expect 600–1,200 hours. Proper tension and regular cleaning significantly extend track life.
We strongly recommend replacing tracks in pairs and using the same brand and size. Mismatched tracks cause uneven wear and can create alignment issues with your undercarriage.
What are bolt-on rubber pads used for?
Bolt-on rubber pads attach to steel track links and allow excavators to work on sensitive surfaces like asphalt, concrete, tile, or indoor floors without causing damage. They’re widely used in road work, urban construction, and restoration projects.
Pad size is determined by your steel track’s link width (in mm) and the bolt pattern spacing. Measure the pad mounting width and the distance between bolt holes. Contact us with these measurements and we’ll match the right pad.
Yes. Bolt-on pads install with standard tools. Each pad bolts directly to the existing steel track link using the factory bolt holes. See our Product Information page for full installation instructions and torque specifications.
There is a minor reduction in traction on steep grades compared to bare steel, but pads generally have minimal impact on day-to-day performance. Ground pressure and travel speed remain nearly identical.
What does the 12-month warranty cover?
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects including: delamination of rubber from steel cords, broken or exposed steel cords not caused by external damage, cracking or splitting in the rubber body (non-surface), and defective guide lugs or drive lugs.
The following conditions void the warranty: improper track tension (too tight or too loose), running the machine with a damaged or seized roller, improper installation, use on terrain outside the machine’s rated class, chemical contamination (fuel, oil spills), deliberate damage or misuse, and normal wear and tear (surface cracking, lug wear).
Email warranty@blackbandtracks.ca with: (1) your order number, (2) photos of the defect from multiple angles, (3) a brief description of when and how the issue occurred, and (4) your machine’s make, model, and hours. We’ll respond within 3 business days.
Our team will review your photos and description. If the defect is covered, we’ll arrange a replacement shipment at no cost. For borderline cases, we may request the product be returned for inspection. Return shipping costs for approved claims are covered by us.
Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser and does not transfer to subsequent owners of the machine.
How do I place an order?
Approved dealers can order directly through the Dealer Portal. Retail customers can contact us by phone or email to place an order. We accept credit card, e-transfer, and wire/EFT payment.
In-stock items ship within 1–2 business days. Depending on your location, ground shipping typically takes 2–7 business days across Canada. We use Purolator, Day & Ross, and Manitoulin Transport depending on package weight and destination.
Yes! We ship to the continental United States. International shipping rates and transit times vary by destination. Contact us for a shipping quote before placing your order.
Factory preorder lead times are approximately 60–90 days from order confirmation. We provide regular updates as your order moves through production: rubber delivery, processing, core prep, assembly, QC, container prep, and shipping.
Yes. Large orders (multiple tracks or pads) typically ship via Day & Ross or Manitoulin Transport LTL freight. We’ll calculate the most cost-effective freight option and confirm before invoicing.
Approved dealers get real-time order tracking through the Dealer Portal, showing each stage of the production and shipping process. All customers receive tracking numbers once their order ships.
